Not since David Breashears’ 1998 film “Everest” have I seen a film that so perfectly combined spectacular landscapes with a compelling human interest story.

This film superbly captures the flavor of the subtle but epic journey hikers experience as they make their way the length of the Pacific Crest Trail.

It is not a documentary about the trail; the beauty of the movie is in the way the people open up to the camera.
